I was just pointing out the irony of Zelensky being described as some sort of a defender of democracy, when in fact, he is just as corrupt as his predecessors. No one becomes President of Ukraine without being corrupt. It goes with the job description. Putin, former KGB officer, is a known quantity for over two decades.

Of course. One of the reasons I joined FR almost 20 years ago is to have an exchange of different views on various topics. I try not to make it personal. Overall, we share the same perspective on most issues.

I agree that Ukraine is a political cesspool. But so is our country, now, under the current leadership.
Still, despite the Deep State and Biden, I’d expect Americans would fight if invaded by anyone. Same goes for Ukrainians AND Russians.
