a mol of methane, weighing 16 g, has a volume of 22.4 liters at standard temperature and pressure (STP).
National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. 2010.

The average cow emits 264 lbs of methane per year on average primarily via the mouth it’s a myth they feet the gas is produced in the rumen in the front of the digestive track. So some crayon eating math as in primary school level.

Lbs to grams... One US point is 453.592 grams

264lbs times 453.592 = 119,748.288 grams per year.

119,748.288 / 365 = 328.0775 grams per day

328.0775 / 16g(mol) = 20.505 miles

20.505mol * 22.4l(stp) = 459.309 liters per day.

Love me some cows but they do burp a lot farts not so much.
