He was retired, not the uniform. Plus he never wore that uniform while working as it was designated for certain purposes he wasn’t involved in. And in that new uniform he may have purchased, but I doubt it, he was introduced as an reactivated general in the Russian army. The one he could purchase would not fit their standards. They, most likely, built one for him to keep from being even more embarrassed. And I would consider displaying him somewhat of an embarrassment.
