If we could all go back 10 years and be told what would transpire over the next decade, we'd laugh and say that it would never happen.

For example, what would we think if we were told back in 2012 that within a few years, the entire world would shut down on account of a variation of the common flu. And that we would be forced to walk around with silly paper masks or face arrest and that loved ones would be forced to die alone in hospitals because we would not be allowed in there to spend their last hours with them.

We would say something like "Never happen. Period."

There's never happen because it's very unlikely and unpredictable. And there's never happen because that's not how it works. This is the latter.
