Rather than trying to turn society into an asylum where dangerous objects are banned, maybe we should ask what our culture is doing to our young men. The instruments being misused to harm people have always been around. What has changed? It’s not rocket science.

Correction: They’re shockingly commonplace in Blue America, i.e. where guns are banned or heavily restricted, such as schools, malls, anti-gun businesses (even in otherwise Red states), and in cities and states where guns are heavily restricted.
Bishops should be careful to not tar Red America with Blue America problems.
