Fossil fuels n=n gas and nuke.
Yeah, you could argue that gas = fossil. But, most of the treehugger loons mean coal when you use that dreaded word. As to nuke, nothing could be further.
Coal is still naughty according to treehuggers. Of course, why not?
What the EU is doing is admitting that the sky is not falling and tip toeing back into reality.
Too bad for them that it is too late.

Coal is made of fossilized plants, some of which were once huggable trees. It can be used for making solar panels, steel and Frosty the Snowman’s eyes, as well as energy.

Not quite. EU Parliament declares atomic energy and natural gas to be green energy. Coal, oil and its derivatives are fossil fuel, but still not "green" energy.
