The sanctuary state of New Jersey has created a $60 million “slush fund” for about 100,000 illegal aliens, Republicans say.
The plan is part of a budget deal by Gov. Phil Murphy (D) where illegal aliens in New Jersey are expected to receive taxpayer-funded stimulus checks, New Jersey 101.5 reports:
Language added to the budget allows Murphy to allocate $300 million from the state’s share of federal COVID recovery funds without needing the Legislature’s agreement through a vote of the Joint Budget Oversight Committee, or JBOC. [Emphasis added]
Those allocations can’t be larger than $20 million without JBOC approval – except for one $60 million allocation. That happens to be large enough to cover the $53 million fund Murphy proposed in March to pay $500 each to over 100,000 immigrants with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, or ITIN. They are more than that; they are to keep the dollars flowing to the businesses kept afloat by illegals (including the apartments they rent for cash).
Businesses and individual taxpayers are fleeing NJ in droves to get away from these costs; when I was younger people left when they retired, but now they leave when the last child graduates high school (not even college). These illegals are a massive financial burden, especially their anchor babies (2/3 of our high property taxes fund the public schools).
I was a life-long South Jersey resident. I left last year to come to Florida and got an immediate $10k raise because I don't have to pay income tax, and my property tax bill got cut in half.
Oh yeah, and now I don't have to wait for lazy attendants to pump my gas at gas stations exclusively owned by middle easterners that get tax breaks that ordinary Americans don't get.

A long time ago a co-worker who used to work for a government agency told me that funds allocated for one thing often get transferred to something else. I was shocked.
The above is another example. We don’t know where our tax money goes. There needs to be ledgers viewable and comprehensible by the public showing exactly where every taxpayer dollar goes.

Ya know...there have been many people asking why people from other countries flee and try to get into the US legally or illegally instead of staying in their own country and getting together to fight against tyranny and take back their own country. That’s what is happening in the US when people flee their home states because of their state government making bad decisions. It’s happening a lot these days.
Right; that is why the Obamunists wanted to nationalize their programs - to prevent the flight from leftist dictatorship states to free states. Even when Trump set the ObamaCare penalty for the uninsured at $0, NJ (along with MA and DC) put their own penalties in place.
We are watching live as people and their employees flee the horrible environments for greener pastures - and those horrible places simply top off their populations with illegals instead.
The loss of talent/”brain drain” here in NJ and NY has long-term repercussions; they won’t be able to attract employers because they won’t have a workforce in place.
Look at NY’s offer of “free college”; you must remain in the state afte graduation for a year for each year of “free” tuition you accepted - or pay it back. They KNOW it is happening; why go to college if you have to work a McJob for four years afterwards (as “good” jobs leave)?
