Yes. It's possible from what little we can see from the truncated video, that the car was unrelated. There are many cars that look more or less like that one. I don't know which make and model it was, but there was that ridge in the middle of the roof of it in the video. Looked like a late model.

I don't think it was lightning. In regards to the flash reflection, light travels faster than debris. The flash was caused by the detonation of whatever device was used.
