The only serious candidate who can even mention libertarian without being hooted down is Rand Paul. In all honesty, he would be my pick. His independence is beyond question. I don’t believe Paul would be taken in and taken advantage of the way Trump was by the DC GOP elites.
Rand is a loyal Republican though he would never join the LP.

Private sector people are ill equipped to deal with the dishonesty and disloyalty in DC.
