You’ve touched on the problem. Such a high percentage of Americans demonstrate dysfunction that it makes it impossible to use such dysfunction as a predictor of danger. Probably over 99.999 % of these nutcases never go on to hurt anybody.
Spend an hour or two watching “Karen” videos on Youtube. Would you really want any of them armed? But then is it practical or desirable to disarm them all?
