It goes back to the fact that criminals do not obey laws because they want to commit crimes. A red flag law might have stopped him from buying a gun legally in his State, but it can’t stop him from obtaining a weapon illegally.

We are finding out now that this guy had other run ins with the law and also made threats to kill people before . He has many freakish videos out there too.

All of that should have been a red flag. But is wasn’t.

How long should red flag restrictions last and who should make that decision? Should it be a permanent ban on weapons ownership? Should a judge be able to order that through just a hearing?

All of that should have been a red flag. But is wasn’t.

He triggered a red flag in 2019 and had close to 20 knives and daggers confiscated for six months.
