Even if he sues and ‘wins’ some kind of settlement to get lost, he has lost in other ways. After this level of publicity, fewer established companies would hire him, unless at a much lower wage. He’s shown himself to be insular, capricious and unbusinesslike.

I know reading the article isn't the strong suit for FR, but it looks like he got fired not for refusing to work, but for deliberately sabotaging the work he was given. From the article (and apparently his own admission), the guy worked from home, probably doing a job that could be automated with a few spreadsheet macros and email rules, but still working from home. He had a task to do that day in question: send an email out to a distro list of about 300 people.

Instead of sending the email he was supposed to send, he sent a different email, an emo tantrum about abortion. Somehow, despite neither having the equipment to have an abortion himself, nor the sexual proclivity to ever risk being involved in a pregnancy, somehow made the email about himself. HR quickly followed up and said "you are fired, someone will be by in an hour to get your laptop".

Now, with his accounts quickly being shut down, instead of backing up friendly business contacts amd saying goodbye to friends, he decided to use his last moments of company acceds write another emo tantrum email to that same email list, this time saying that the company is also heartless for firing a gay minority during pride month.

To it's great shame the company started out its explanation by addressing the narcissistic twink's accusations, which should have been roundly ignored. Then the newly freed up brown gay abortion champion went to linkedIn to brag about all of this as if he hadn't already demonstrated that he doesn't understand what professional communication and adult behavior looks like. Anyone who hires this sad example of humanity is just begging for trouble.
