Highland Park is a suburb of Chicago located about 20 miles northwest of the city. It is considered politically to be deep blue with over 75% voting Democratic. Just over 80% white demographically.

Wealthy community, when I was there it had a fairly large Hispanics community. Do not recall any problems with the Hispanics although their presence did bring Hispanic gang members up from Chicago. Most where just blue collar working families. There were some issues but generally it involved Hispanics and North Chicago or Waukegan Blacks. I was there two years ago and it seemed to be about the same. Odd this happened there.
