The Morning Briefing: Happy Independence Day to Freedom Loving Americans!

It’s no secret that I can be a bit cynical when it comes to the direction of leftist America, especially since 2016. They have been giving off the “hate America” vibe for a while now, but they weren’t so vicious and open about it.

Now that they are no longer able to kill babies up to the point of delivery in any state that they want they’ve decided to let their “Screw America” freak flags fly.

If you live long enough, you will eventually see everything. I remember when Democrats used to get angry when right-wing nutjobs like me would accuse them of hating this great country.

This year, the Democratic party in my home county was enthusiastically pimping a “F**k the 4th” event so they could “mourn” all the babies that won’t be dying now. Robert wrote that they did try to walk back the cat, but he wasn’t buying it:

When the predictable firestorm ensued, however, Pima County Democrat officials quickly deleted the tweet and tweeted a clarification that was as weaselly and disingenuous as the first tweet was vile and revolting: “PCDP posted a graphic advertising a women’s march which, we agree, was in poor taste. We were eager to share the event, and in our haste we used the graphic provided by the event organizer. That was a mistake, and we will do better.”

...

It’s a shame that so many don’t want to celebrate today but, hey, more hot dogs and beer for the rest of us.

If they hate America, I’m sure China, Iran, North Korea or Cuba would be happy to take them in.

Most idiots who aren’t celebrating Independence Day are the clowns that celebrate Sesame Street “holidays” like Cinco de Mayo and Juneteenth. Sorry, I’ll stick with a real American holiday, 4th Of July. John Adams told us Americans would celebrate Independence Day and I do it every year.

A good campaign slogan for the opposition, remind the voters in November.

July 4 and the American Dream

On July 4 we recognize the Declaration of Independence defining the American Dream as inalienable natural liberties including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They represent intangible property sourced in opinion, religion, communications, use of abilities to labor physically and mentally, and in conscience. Only by application of these inherent rights can one truly possess material things. The Constitution established a government embodying these treasured rights by promoting the general welfare and securing the blessings of liberty.

Whatever the Constitution defined was never an American Dream providing government largess to ensure college funds, retirement accounts, savings, affordable health care, home ownership, lifetime employment, corporate wealth, political careers, and union benefits.

However, politicians become patricians offer enchanting elements of material security such as described above, while obscuring subservience to administrative laws and regulations vastly increasing their power. Their legislation and rules negate our Bill of Rights confiscating intangible human freedoms for these apparitions.

Such devices are the soft underbelly of our Constitution. Under English Common Law, basic to our Constitution, a person is innocent and not subject to the penalties of law until proved guilty. Administrative laws and regulations, like Roman Civil Law, subject people to government penalties and restrictions until they find legal means to extricate themselves.

People now routinely make unconscious Faustian like bargains to exchange their human essence for illusions of material comfort. True freedom requires uncompromising adherence to the concept of property defined as inherent, intangible natural rights.
