I read the Herman Wouk books (”The Winds of War” and “War and Remembrance”) several years ago. Very good novels.

The TV miniseries of “Winds of War” could have been good had the utterly talentless Ali McGraw not been in it. What a horrible acting performance. The producers must have realized that as they replaced her character with Jane Seymour for “War and Remembrance.”
