Not sure of the accuracy of the story but it does raise an interesting question. Would announcing early steal the thunder from the January 6 hearing crap? Or would it be seen as just an attempt to deflect from the hearings?

How can something distract from an event that isn’t drawing any attention to begin with? Fake news from Business Insider as usual.

They seem to be using a similar playbook as when the ‘pee’ dossier was released to the media. That the dossier was released began the tale.
Then, media would bring it into the public based on it being released, without regard for the actual fantasy tale it contained.
Keep in mind that these are the folk who believe the seriousness of charges outweigh the veracity of the allegations.

IMNSHO, I believe that President Donald Trump should continue to live rent-free in everyone's head, right up until the moment he Constitutionally and legally needs to put himself on the ballot(s).
Make the Enemedia and RINOs and the Demons keep guessing on his intentions.
Make them speculate and ruminate and ponder and pontificate. Make them wonder and guess and agonize and pay consultants and pollsters and anyone else willing to tell them what they want to hear.
Keep being the Kingmaker. Win more often than you lose. Constantly remind, not just the 81 million, but that still-squishy middle, just how badly the Dems are continuing to make their lives, and how much worse it will get with the current crop of RINOs and Demons.
Be the rock. Be the sword. Be unbowed and unbroken.

Translation: The left is afraid Trump will announce his 2024 run and distract from the circus they call the January 6 hearings.

Don’t believe a damn thing from the NY Slimes. There is one constant: whatever Trump does or doesn’t do will be attacked by the left, which includes RINOs. Only RINOs worry about Trump running again. The rest of assume that Trump is already running. It will be no big news to us when Trump publicly declares. Sure, we will celebrate for 5 minutes, but it won’t be a surprise and we’ll get right back to work.

I'd say don't distract from the midterms. Plenty of time to announce after.

Announcing now could put a crimp in their plans to arrest him on some bogus charge - because even the sheep would see that as a political move against a leading candidate.

“a report says. Some Republicans worry he could hurt them in the midterms.”
A REPORT says? Do reports TALK? What kind of report? By whom?
“Some Republicans” OH THOSE Republicans.
Why even bother to read this hit piece? (I didn’t)

Annouce immediately. The Jan 6th Commission thinks it has enough time to have the DOJ indict.
He should file and announce simultaneously and be prepared to fend off the lefty DOJ.

The ones who worry Trump can hurt them are the incumbent RINO scum. And they should worry. Trump is gutting the Republican party day by day. Great change are coming if the vote fraud can be stopped.

I hope this does not happen. It’s way too early to declare and obligate your associates.
To: DoodleDawg
The one thing about Trump is that he does energize the other side’s base even as much as his own. Their irrational hatred for him is that strong.

I am sure that the media will report it in a negative light if he does announce. I am likewise certain that they will report it in a negative light if he waits to announce. As for those that fear being associated with Trump, Liz Cheney and all her friends can take a hike
