I guess this is in response to losing a whole region today. I guess everyone is not aware of what is happening in the world or the devastation that is going to happen across the globe due to this war.
Is Ukraine really worth it? This war is not a Ukraine problem alone, it is a worldwide problem. Millions outside of Ukraine will soon be suffering starvation. The world including the US heading for a deep recession. Inflation is skyrocketing and soon there will be shortages of everything.
And whether we like it or not, Russia and China along with the Asian world are forming an allegiance against the US monetary system. We are getting closer to World War III and the collapse of our economy.
Prolonging the Ukraine war will accomplish nothing but destruction and suffering. I could be wrong, but I think Russia will emerge stronger after the war. Their equipment will be upgraded (some say no, but I don’t believe it, China will supply what they need) and they will have learned a lot from their costly, stupid mistakes.
Sure, Russia is a bad actor and looks completely incompetent. So? We get to puff out our tough guy chest prolonging a proxy war while millions might die of starvation and the world economy crashes further. Biden is preparing for $200 a barrel oil, wait until that hits.
Unfortunately, I think you are right. We are being played for chumps and used as a resource for their wealth. The world is shifting beneath our feet. The US control (military and financial) of the world we be lost in less than 4 years of BiteMe
I actually agree with most of your assessment, and it looks bad. But why dwell in being a doomist and fatalist? Instead you can cheer for the anti-Vlad forces, who are the Ukrainians. NYRK!
