DeSantis is my governor as well. The difference between trump and DeSantis is the ability to get what he wants with little pushback. Yes Disney screamed for a week but it’s done. “Don’t say gay” was screamed for a month but it got done. “Don’t go woke” in text books got screamed at for a few weeks but still got done. Broward screwed up election, DeSantis got rid of them. A data person screwed up covid numbers, she was fired immediately. I do like the fact he gets things done regardless of screaming. Refreshing.

Because Desantis is NOT a nationwide threat. He has a majority pubbie legislature and a majority pubbie state SC. Pushback at the state gov’t level is nearly non-existent.
It is truly Apples and Oranges.
President Trump has the entire Deep State against him. The entire Dem party against him. RINO’s (the majority) in his own party against him.
There is NO COMPARISON between them in regards to the level of opposition the two face. None.
Yet, in the face of overwhelming opposition forces what Trump accomplished was truly remarkable. Unprecedented in fact. He set records for economic growth across all demographics that were truly remarkable.
In Florida. DeSantis, if he remains as conservative as he has been in Florida, will receive serious pushback from the left if he ever does become President.
But, Jeb Bush even looked like a conservative as governor of Florida. So, I am skeptical that GOP establishment seems okay with DeSantis.
Trump has proven himself. Any President that would put judges on SCOTUS to overturn Roe has accomplished what even Ronald Reagan couldn't. Trump is literally a living legend.
