There is a point in time when the accumulation of actions or inactions dictates that a person, cause or endeavor fail. E.g., the fall of empires occurred after they reached a point of no return or rather a series/accumulation of choices and experiences, which directed and dictated their fall. Rome and Britain come to mind. Short of a miracle, CNN has reached its tipping point and it being able to recover its past glory may be possible but unlikely IMHO.
