Tipping point comes to mind.
There is a point in time when the accumulation of actions or inactions dictates that a person, cause or endeavor fail. E.g., the fall of empires occurred after they reached a point of no return or rather a series/accumulation of choices and experiences, which directed and dictated their fall. Rome and Britain come to mind. Short of a miracle, CNN has reached its tipping point and it being able to recover its past glory may be possible but unlikely IMHO.
Has CNN hired anyone to counter the liberal ideology?

With the state of our education, that is quite high qualification. A lot more than minimum wage!
It’s a far cry from the last days of the Trump administration, which saw the network finished tops on cable in 2020 and dispatched rival Fox News to third place.
Also stop hiring weirdos, pole suckers, and carpet lickers, might help but I doubt it.
