““Thursday’s debate hosted by Wyoming PBS in Sheridan will be closed to the public”
But it will be televised, presumably live and without editing.
I can’t object to that. We learn something about the participants.
If Cheney gains by the debate, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Public debating and voting — parts of our foundation.
Sheridan is a liberal resort town with a lot of out-of-state money.
“will be televised, presumably live and without editing”
“The debate will be aired on live statewide television beginning at 7 p.m. It will be carried live as well on Wyoming Public Radio, which co-hosts the debate with WyomingPBS. The debate also will be streamed live online via Facebook and YouTube and can be watched live at wyomingpbs.org.”
We’ll see. I still suspect the public isn’t allowed at the behest of cheney herself. She’s a nasty piece of work that one.
The key word in your comment is “public”. Performing before a camera in isolation hardly fits the description of “public debate” and the format is clearly designed to prevent any interaction with her constituents. Not much different from a TV infomercial.
