82 years old. First elected to the Senate in 1975. Something seriously wrong with our system when it allows these people to be in this position for this long.

Bernie Sanders is the other US Senator from Vermont. Another superannuated, doctrinaire, and overly opinionated blowhard, with no accomplishments other than getting elected to office repeatedly in a small state. But he does make Patrick Leahy look like a “moderate”.
If being a Nazi is more moderate than being a Communist. After all, Communists consider Nazis to be “right-wing”, but both are command-and-control regimes. And both make promises they have no intention of keeping, if it were even possible.
