I'm against the Dims forcing EV's onto us. But EV's have a place for some families. Like a two-car family (married couple) and using the EV for the one who does the most commuting (saving on gas) while also having an ICE car for long trips. It also gives you some diversification on energy dependency (if the Dims mess up gasoline supplies you have electrical power to power the EV, or if the Dims mess up the electrical grid you have a gas powered car).

That's what my wife and I are doing. And with a large solar system on the house I worry a lot less about the Dims messing up the electrical grid.
