A new ad for Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney features former Republican Sen. Alan Simpson, a political icon in the state, backing Cheney's re-election.
But in an interview with NBC News about the ad, the Wyoming political giant minced few words about his frustration with former President Donald Trump, who is backing a primary challenge against Cheney over her repeated criticism of the former president.
In the ad, Simpson joins a handful of others — including prominent Wyoming politicians — with a simple message: "Join me in voting for Liz Cheney on August 16th," Simpsons says, while the screen simply identifies him as "Al."

Hey genius. In case you haven’t noticed, we are currently in a cold Civil War in this country and now is NOT the time for compromise.
That pic needs bars in the foreground!
They aren’t RINOs, they are Assistant Democrats.
Lez Romney will get a boot up her big fat butt 🤪
Define RINO.
“Define RINO.”
My own definition would be, any elected representative claiming to be a Republican whose voters didn’t know they were voting for someone who thought they were one. We gotta let the voters make that decision. IMHO
And Alan was a dear friend of abortion mills.
My definition of a RINO (I take the term at face value):
A Democrat who ran as a Republican in order to get elected. They do far more damage than a declared Democrat.

Well, but don’t you see, then you have to say what you mean by a Democrat. In my formulation it’s perfectly obvious: a Democrat is an elected official who ran as one. Surely you can see how close such purity concerns seem to be to the modern Cancel Culture, on the left. I think it takes so much time and energy to run a political race, and you have to spend so much time explaining yourself to your constituents, and raising money from them, that it’s really hard to imagine someone could do that while all the time “secretly” believing they’re a Democrat. That level of dishonesty... I wouldn’t say it’s INCONCEIVABLE, it’s just that stupidity explains so much more, and is so much more likely...
So if some big city jasper openly and consistently advocates for statist causes - of course: "within reason" - and denigrates the Constitution... If he openly casts aspersions upon "Big Tent" conservative principles and mocks fundamental conservative values - but calls himself a Republican - he gets a pass?!
No, he gets run out of town on a rail!
Reagan's dictum did NOT apply to "backroom" discussion groups and (even if they'd been around back then) chatrooms.
They applied to Republic office-holders (or candidates) speaking to the press.
Also: This ain't the 1980s anymore!
