Most of Europe, including France, is farther north than Milwaukee. Shouldn’t be much need for heating or cooling this time of year. Where are they going to save energy? Shutting down manufacturing? Stop electric trains? Sit in the dark?

Every summer, a bunch of French oldsters tip over when heat waves hit France:

... farther north than Milwaukee.

I am also North of Milwaukee. At 43.97N, we can have weeks of high 80’s to 90s and above each summer.

Everyone is being forced into using only electricity, everywhere. And we are also being nudged and bullied into EV. So, you are correct: manufacturing will be curtailed. Trains will be sidelined. They will sit in the dark, but with cell phones, until that becomes problematic for the Rulers.

I occasionally watch an Austrian vlogger, Survival Lily, who has advised Europeans to make sure they have solar generators in addition to standard preps.

She has little hope for Europe, going forward. The best that come of this $#!+ show is that the EU will collapse as every nation reverts to its own self-interest. But as TPTB strike the set on their grand illusion, it is going to be a calamity, everywhere.
