If DeSantis was to attempt to run against Trump, he would get crushed and then ruin his chances for 2028.
If he wants the support of Trump's base, he'll stay in his lane until that time.
Otherwise, you, and he, are just whistlin' past the Graveyard where DeSantis is concerned for 2024.
