This is an intensely emotional issue on both sides. While it may not end up creating a wave in November - it could be more than a ripple.

I'm with Trump on this. I am pragmatic when it comes to this issue. I am not intensely emotional but I can see how both sides are digging their trenches on this. To me, each state needs to figure out what works for them. 15 weeks. 30 weeks. Perhaps a total ban in Mississippi.

The SCOTUS decision will not in any way end the heated and contentious debate about abortion

It might take a couple of decades but someone will challenge and there'll be a case. Roe vs Wade will become the law of the land again.

I can see how both sides are digging their trenches on this.

Because the most vocal extreme will drive the issue, blue states will enact unrestricted abortion access. Red states will implement total bans. Both positions are out of step with mainstream political opinion.

Of course, the media will give passes to liberal candidates while pouncing on conservative ones.
