Anti-Trump Lisa Murkowski admits, she may not be re-elected

Republican Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski has a tough fight on her hands as she made her choice to go against President Donald Trump and now she has acknowledged that she could be defeated.

She believes she can win her primary using her brand of moderate politics against an opponent backed by the former president, The Washington Times reported.

"The same extreme partisan divide that existed in 2010 exists today,” her campaign spokesperson Shea Siegert said. “What outsiders from the lower 48 don’t understand is that Alaskans value Lisa‘s bipartisanship and commitment to always put Alaska first to get things done.”

But Tim Murtaugh, the campaign adviser for her opponent Kelly Tshibaka, explained that “this isn’t 2010 anymore.”

“That was before Murkowski voted to remove President Trump from office after he was already gone, and before Murkowski set about enabling Joe Biden’s radical agenda that is crushing Alaska,” he said.

“Remember that Trump won Alaska twice by double digits and people still love his policies,” he said.

Whether you like Trump or hate him people like her, Susan Collins and Mitt Romney and quite a few others deserve to lose their job I’m over there backstabbing disloyalty. You figure half of these back stabbers are the ones that subscribe to the “it’s my turn for president“ theory.

Murkowska may well lose election, or the establishment RINOs may steal the seat for her. Even if she were to lose, the Republicans in the U.S. Senate have proved to be a treacherous lot. More must be done to deal with that nest of vipers by a convention of the states as is needed.

Her time has come & gone! She has principally made some very bad decisions, touting being a moderate republican is meaningless!

Please Alaska, please get rid of this stupid bitch. She’s worse than a Democrat she is used to undermine us over and over. Worse still is given the makeup of the state we could have a strong Republican.

Alaskan need to ditch RCV and RCV-enabled voting machines first.

Otherwise the only way Murky is gone is if Deep State permits it.

The idea that COS despairately needs its proponents to believe is that nothing can go wrong with a Convention.

Believer’s have a screw loose to accept that idea. It is also a major distraction and point of division in the Republican Party

Alaska decides to switch to open primaries and ranked elections

November 2020

The proposal has prevailed by 3,700 votes out of 343,000 cast — a margin of 1 percentage point.

As a result, starting in two years Alaska will replace traditional partisan primaries with single contests open to all candidates for governor and other state executive offices, each seat in the Legislature and the three spots in Congress.

The top four finishers, regardless of party affiliation, will advance to the general election, at which point voters will rank their options to decide the winner. And all legislative and local races will face strict new disclosure requirements about the sources of campaign spending.

Last time she lost the Republican primary she:

• Ran in the general as an independent
• The Democrat candidate withdrew from the race
• The Democrat vote along with a minority of GOP voter put her over 50%

What makes anyone think the same scenario won’t play out again?

She’ll be there are long as she wants.
