I used to live in NJ. just buying a handgun was a chore. You had to get an individual permit for each one. Left the hell hole 50years ago.

Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey just became Shall Issue states whether they like it or not. HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Their days of trampling on Americans’ constitutional right to bear arms are over.

Several “assault weapon” and magazine bans may also fall in multiple states.

I KNOW that happened to a woman who was in the US Military. She took a wrong turn (she was in Pennsylvania) and that took her into New Jersey. She got pulled over before she could turn around and drive back into Pennsylvania. She had a gun in the trunk which was perfectly legal in Pennsylvania. But because she was now in New Jersey, she got into all kinds of trouble. They really threw the book at her - it was completely absurd.

There are tons of cases like this.

This is absolutely glorious. We are winning this fight. Its not as fast as I’d like but we are clearly winning.

-- Aren't there people in NJ prisons for violating their carry laws? Are they going to set them free? --

Nope. The government and the law don't work that way. That the government unconsitutionally denied people permits (in NY, for over 100 years) goes with ZERO redress.

Pretty much everything the government does is deemed to be done in good faith, as a matter of law, and presumed to be constitutional.

Governor can issue a pardon if he wants, but courts won't do squat.

Michigan was like that when I got my first handguns. Pre-permit, then submit the weapon to the local sheriff for inspection, then submit to fingerprinting. That was just to “keep.” It was as onerous as NY to bear. Needed character references known to the sheriff, lots of $$, background check, and that was just to be able to carry while hunting or fishing, not good at any other time or place.

Similar Rigamarole there culminating in being cross examined by the local chief about why I needed a 357. I said simple. I wanted the same gun I carried at work except in stainless (model 66 verses model 19 S&W). I was a fed then. So he signed it. Some equal of a square badge lording over me albeit I made more felony arrests in past year than he did in his entire career.

They’ll comply...for now.But stand by for a million state laws meant to harass law abiding citizens ways that make gun ownership unreasonably difficult.
