I’m a Conservatarian, which is a Libertarian without all the dope smoking. ;)

I find it very, VERY hard to vote for any of these pukes. I do like you do. Leave a blank and vote for my local candidates which may (or may not, in reality) make a difference in my actual life here on Earth.

I’ve got bigger plans for Eternity. ;)

“Most who were considering abortion were getting pressured by boyfriends, husbands or even parents!”

Pretty sad state of affairs all the way around, isn’t it? :(

I believe there will be many young girls who will deep down be relieved that abortion isn’t even an option any more. They know in their soul it is wrong, but the outside pressure can be enormous. Now if we could get back to teaching abstinence until marriage, maybe the messed up relationship between the young men and women in this country could be put right again.

Greyhound bus ride to another state gets you an abortion no matter what your states laws are. This decision simply returned this matter to the legislatures WHERE IT ALWAYS BELONGED!!!!!

Not if D.C. has anything to say about it.

DC is still the LEGISLATURE…

Could a national law pass banning abortion? Maybe but I wouldn’t hold my breath on it, currently there are none.

I would not expect any major national legislation on abortion, could it happen? Perhaps, but it’s a non starter with a Democrat in the White House, not going to get 67 senators to override any veto…

So GOP my token do things knowing it won’t become law, but when they could actually do it don’t be shocked if you see another “repeal Obamacare” nonsense..

We shall see

As I mentioned in my reply there are at least two proposals for that at work.

Again read what I wrote…

GOP if they take control will pass something when there is a D in the White House it will be vetoed and they won’t have the votes to override…

The. If they ever actually are in a position to pass something and get it signed by a GOP President you’ll see it won’t get done just like the repeal of Obamacare..

Don’t hold your breath

I agree that the chances of a bipartisan solution hovers somewhere between zilch and none. That doesn’t mean Congress will leave it to the states if there is any chance of a single solution for abortion nationwide being enacted. And if that means a nuclear option then I wouldn’t put it past them.
