Everyone going to Afghanistan to conquer the Afghan people will be defeated. Everyone.

Tell that to Alexander the Great.

Sadly. It’s really, IMHO, a reflection of the influence of the neocons.

It is, personally I think we are headed for a major defeat somewhere in the future, perhaps not on the level of German and Japan after WW II, but the hubris and arrogance of those in Washington regardless of party who are always promoting the next war are psychotic IMO, China is likely to be the dominate Superpower in the next few years, until we decide to remake our country and stop meddling in other parts of the world we won’t be able to keep up with them.

Alexander invaded Afghanistan and did not conquer it.

Assuming you know you geography take a look at the map of Alexander's empire below. You will see that it contains Afghanistan. Alexander did in fact conqueror and hold Afghanistan as did the Persians before him.

Alexander died like two years after his campaign in Afghanistan. The United States and the Soviet Union held Afghanistan longer than Alexander did.

Cut Alexander some slack, he died. But Alexander’s forces held Afghanistan for three hundred years.

Re: My 6/22 reply to you: Please note that it took less than 2 weeks to finish off the UFA in Severodenetsk and Lysyshansk, a little faster than I suggested.

My guess is that eventually the UFA will take out Zelensky and install a new government that will negotiate with the Russians. There’s already friction.
