I'm most interested in VA CD-11, and want to see Yesli Vega win.

Here's her background:

THE HONORABLE YESLI VEGA

Supervisor Yesli Vega is a military wife, mother, former police officer and a Prince William County Sheriff’s Deputy who has dedicated her life to public service.

Born in Texas, Supervisor Vega moved with her family to Northern Virginia at the age of five. It was here that her mother and father taught her the invaluable lessons of hard work, faith in God, and love for the greatest country on His green earth.

Following a family tragedy, Supervisor Vega witnessed firsthand the impact that local law enforcement and first responders have in the service and protection of our local communities. Inspired by their heartfelt courage, and thankful for keeping her family intact, Supervisor Vega made a commitment to give back and joined the Alexandria, Virginia, Police Department, and later the Manassas Park Police Department.

As a Patrol Officer, Supervisor Vega found herself in various split second, life and death situations that our law enforcement faces every day. In addition to working the “street beat”, she also became a Field Training Officer, was a certified Hostage Negotiator, and member of the Crisis Intervention Team.

In 2012, Supervisor Vega temporarily left the world of law enforcement to accompany her husband, Rene (a U.S. Army Veteran), and their two children, during his deployment to South Korea.

In addition to her career in law enforcement, Supervisor Vega has served the Prince William community as a mentor to at-risk youth through the Cal Ripken Foundation’s “Badges for Baseball” program. She has also coached her daughter’s youth soccer teams at Northern Virginia Soccer Club, volunteered with Special Olympics and Santa Cops. Supervisor Vega is a graduate of American Military University and the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

I’m for Vega too. Spanburger is a deep state spook who stole her election from Nick Freitas(R) in 2020 with a “found” thumb drive at 03:00 am last go round. Spanburger must go.

I think she has a good chance. 16,000 votes left in Prince William county. She’s beating Anderson there 51% to 18% - large Hispanic population there.

China Don Corleone Kemp controls crooked ass Georgia politics. Not one thing has been done to fix Georgia’s rigged elections. Kemp hates Trump because Trump knows damn well he won Georgia in 2000. Other than China owning Kemp lock stock and barrel, his best friend is Stacie Abrams. Look for them
to run on a unity ticket next year.

I’ve seen enough: Yesli Vega (R) wins the #VA07 GOP primary and will face Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D) in the fall.
@CookPolitical
November rating: Toss Up.

Derrick Anderson is a native of Spotsylvania County, was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law. He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret” with 6 tours of duty overseas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and various countries throughout the Middle East.

Derrick Anderson was raised in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. His mother owned and managed local restaurants and as young as age 14, he worked in the kitchen of his mother’s local diner, while attending Courtland High School. Upon graduation, Derrick enrolled at Virginia Tech in the Corp of Cadets, making him the first person in his family to attend and graduate college. While his Army ROTC scholarship allowed him to pay for college, his commitment to serve was rooted in his family’s long history of military service and his father’s proximity across the street from the World Trade Center buildings on September 11, 2001.

Derrick graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 with a B.S. in Political Science (Legal Option) and immediately commissioned into the United States Army as an Infantry Officer. After completing Ranger school, and less than a year since being in college, he was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division as a Platoon Leader where he deployed for 15-months in support of “the Surge” in Iraq.

Derrick also served with the 3rd Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard” in Arlington National Cemetery where he competed in the Best Ranger Competition in 2009 and 2010. After completion of the Special Forces Qualifications Course, Derrick became an A-Team leader in the Green Berets and served as a Detachment Commander for two Special Forces teams and the Company Executive Officer for two companies over the course of five deployments to Afghanistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Israel, and Lebanon.

Following his time in the Army, Derrick graduated with his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2019. Following graduation, he clerked for two separate federal judges where he worked on a variety of civil and criminal cases.

Derrick also served in the White House during President Trump’s Administration, where he worked in the Office of National Drug Control Policy. In 2017, Derrick appeared on 60 Minutes with members of his Green Beret team to discuss his final mission in Afghanistan.

Derrick enjoys watching college football, running, and currently serves as a Major in the United States Army National Guard. He lives in Spotsylvania County with his dog, Ranger, a Dalmatian.

Here's 'Blue Virginia (RATs) opinion of her (LOL):

On the issues, Yesli Vega…yep, you guessed it, rails against “cancel culture” (“The effects of cancel culture upon our nation has been chilling”) and a supposed “small left-wing mob who find offense in everything”; also rips “the likes of AOC, ‘The Squad’ and many others in today’s Democrat Party”; etc. She argues that “our right to keep and bear arms must never be infringed”; opposes “ideologically based education that looks at everything through the divisive prism of race”; says she “strongly oppose[s] bills like HR1 which would allow the likes of Nancy Pelosi and AOC to dictate the way elections in Virginia are run”

Yes but ... Vega can draw the Hispanic vote like no other in VA. As a former police officer, she’s 2A all the way - she’s got my vote.
