The official name of the holiday is ‘Juneteenth National Independence Day’. I think it’s intended to replace Independence Day, at least for 1/8 of the population.

"juneteenth" isn't even a word. It's illiterate gibberish.

"National": It does not celebrate an even of national interest, nor has it anything to do with the founding of the Nation.

"Independence": It celebrates that black slaves DEPENDED on White Men to hand them freedom on a silver platter.

"Day": The process of freeing the black slaves did not occur on a single day. It took four years of exceptionally bloody war, fought by White Men.

In case it isn't obvious, I hold 'junteenth' and the mentality behind it in deep contempt.

If you follow the news, you know that “Juneteenth” has been an occasion for wild, disruptive and violent activity in the black community for years. IIRC, Daytona Beach has often had issues with these “celebrations” getting completely out of hand. Now Biden has institutionalized this behavior with a federal holiday. SMH.
