Why would anyone base their nukes on Taiwan? Certainly we wouldn’t have to, as we have boomers and bombers that don’t have to go anywhere near Taiwan to do their business.
The very same reason the Russians made the same fool hearty move in Cuba, deterrence. Biden certainly can’t intimidate Xi, stopping a Chinese invasion militarily means certain WWIII. This bunch of traitors and dipshits running things in DC are more than capable of such insanity as stationing nukes on Taiwan. Japan has one very good option to avoid eventual Chinese aggression, an independent nuclear deterrent. A credible retaliatory capability with a Japanese finger on the button will deter the CCP. Any hint of a similar move by Taipei will bring an immediate pre emptive invasion.
