All I’ve admitted, based on known facts, is that Burisma was used as a means of peddling influence by corrupt Ukrainians with corrupt American officials.

You’re the first one I’ve ever seen allege that Biden was actually using Burisma to help Putin conquer Ukraine.

What you’ve said is that Burisma is a vehicle to get Biden to come to Ukraine’s defense. Which is nonsense, given that Burisma’s owner is a pro-Russian oligarch potentially on Putin’s payroll who fled when Putin’s man in Kiev ran to Moscow. The best way for Zlochevsky to be able to return from exile is for Putin to overrun Ukraine.

As to why Zlochevsky sought refuge in Cyprus instead of Russia - the weather in Cyprus is a tad better. And Zlochevsky’s not the man who ordered the massacre at Maidan Square.

There are on and off warrants filed by Ukraine with Interpol for Yanukovich’s arrest outside Russia. Ukraine only has to arrest Yanukovich once, and he’ll never see daylight again. That’s why he ran to Russia.

Zlochevsky’s a more peripheral player in the butchery. Maybe he played an indirect role, but as courtier rather than king, he’s unlikely to be in as much legal jeopardy from Ukraine’s government. But he fled anyway from a government that asserted Ukraine’s national interests over Russia’s, which may say something about his allegiances.

This is their new tactic. They have absolutely nothing to prove this fairytale that Biden and Putin are buddies.

That’s not what I said. I said Putin gave Biden a bribe through Burisma back when he was VP. It was a chit, a marker, to be collected on via future favors rendered. Putin’s probably surprised as heck that this marker came up roses. Biden is throttling Ukrainian aid for fear of Putin detailing his role in paying Biden off through Zlochevsky.

I don’t necessarily think Biden is literally a traitor. He’s just a Democrat being a Democrat. Excessive timidity in foreign policy is just part of the Democrat package. It’s what they do. AFAIK, Obama took no money from Putin. But he denied Javelins to Ukraine anyway.

Biden would have done the same thing, if not for the threat of impending invasion. He actually delayed shipment for 6 months. And stopped sanctioning NordStream 2. But now that Russia has actually invaded, Biden is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If Ukraine loses, he’ll be remembered as the president who lost Afghanistan and Ukraine. And Taiwan looms. If Ukraine falls, China will get the message and invade Taiwan. So Biden will get credit for losing three countries on his watch.

He shouldn’t have taken Putin’s money. It would have saved him another hit to his reputation. But he never thought in a million years he’d be president. Or that Putin would launch a full-scale invasion.
