Absolutely true. In my view one of the most harmful trends in modern times has been the tendency of jurisprudence to go beyond the letter of the law and base decisions on social science nonsense and on the personal “feelings” of the judges and juries.

This was in Scotland so I don't think anything the US Supreme Court had any impact.

The last time I gave blood I wasn't asked this question, but that was a month ago so maybe they have updated the questionnaire. For many years the American Red Cross has turned away potential donors if they spent too much time in the UK. I guess they can't do that in the UK.
