This is bad journalism because
1) the title misleads the reader into thinking “Russia” is doing this. It is the idea and action of a single legislator politician, not the entire country.
2) It failed to provide the key context that this was in direct reaction to a Lithuanian politician, openly talking on the previous day about removing Lithuania’s signature from a peace treaty settlement that gave Russia Smolensk.
Unfortunately this politician didn’t think this through, because it would also result in Estonia and Latvia being ‘given back’ to Lithuania as well.
I should have mentioned that the peace treaty the Lithuanian politician talked about removing their signature from, was several centuries ago
A prominent legislator from Putin’s party
And when Russia does go after the next country (and they will), it will be entertaining watching you Russian patriots try to explain that away.
The US and GB obviously are pulling Lithuanias strings. And this is a very, very bad move.
