A Russian lawmaker called for Lithuania's independence to be repealed, submitting a draft bill claiming the Baltic republic illegally left the Soviet Union more than three decades ago.
The proposed legislation was submitted to the Russian lower house, the Duma, on Wednesday by Yevgeny Fyodorov, a member of the ruling United Russia party.
In March 1990, Lithuania became the first republic to announce it intended to restore its independence from the disintegrating USSR, under whose control it had been for five decades after the Soviet army occupied it in 1940.

Hopefully Putin dies within months. Look for him to apply pressure to Europe to lift sanctions, via gas reductions and cutoffs this fall and winter. Putin has his vast Putin network, that he has cultivated for 22 plus years. His successor might be as awful, but will not be able to hold Putin's spider web of personal relationships together. Putin's case is similar to how Trump, Bill Clinton, GW Bush knew and know thousands of people.
What nonsense! Poland sent 250 T-72 tanks to Ukraine. It still has 250 Leopard 2 tanks and 250 PT-91 tanks. And... Listen to this: Poland is getting 250 M1A2 SEPV 3 and 350 M1A1 tanks. The M1A1s will start arriving in the fall and all of the M1A2s and M1A1s are due to arrive by 2025. You also don’t seem to know that the U.S. is building its Army Prepositioned Stock-2 site in Poland. Poland isn’t defensless at all.
Poland won’t buy any German weapons at all due to Germany’s unwillingness to help Ukraine against the Russian aggressors. From now on, Poland will buy American and South Korean weapons.
Your ‘proof’ shows that the Lithuanian response was made in response TO this proposal. He was talking about what he would do if this Russian legislation was passed. So, no, it wasn’t in response to something Lithuania did.

Polish donated tanks are not lost. They are in Ukraine denazifying your fellow orcish invaders.
In all honesty, they are so dated and neglected that not even the DNR militia wants to fight in captured units.
No matter how this Russian-Ukrainian war ends, it will take the Russian military at least a few years to lick their wounds and consolidate (They are even using T-62 tanks now.). By then, the Polish will have received all their M1 tanks. They also plan to buy hundreds of M142 HIMARS launchers, 32 F-35s, 8 batteries of Patriot missiles and other weapon systems.
I am sure the Abrams tanks will fare very well against T-72, T-80 and T-90 tanks. Only T-90 M tanks are somewhat good. The Abrams tanks don’t like to participate in turret throwing contests.
