President Trump endorsed 13 candidates in Tuesday’s primaries.

How did he perform?

Trump walked away with a 12-1 record after this week’s elections.

As Politico noted, President Trump heavily focused on two congressional races in South Carolina.

GOP Reps. Nancy Mace and Tom Rice both blamed Trump for his role in perpetuating the events of Jan. 6. After the riots, Mace called out the then-president, saying he needed to “get off Twitter” to communicate peace, while Rice voted with nine other House Republicans to impeach Trump (a group that does not include Mace). Then, Trump endorsed challengers against both of them in primaries this year.

While Mace survived against her primary challenger, defeating Trump-endorsed Katie Arrington, Rice lost to Trump-backed Russell Fry.

Amnesty Senator Hoeven will vote for amnesty AGAIN.

So will Tim Scott.

Re-electing Bush League Republicans who are Assistant Democrats is not winning, even if it looks good on paper.

I think Trump is now 122-7 in candidates he endorsed. Any coach on earth would take that record. Apparently though, Dems wrongly think (again) that this is bad for Republicans.

I’m wondering if the ones he lost were impacted by “open primaries” with dems crossing over.

The real score card on President Trump’s endorsements should not be whether or not they win their primaries, it should be whether or not they prove to be true MAGA once in office.

I understand that having his endorsees win makes him stronger - establishes him as “kingmaker” - and that’s great. I’m all for Trump winning, and he knows how to win.

But I think I smell RINO on a few of these primary “winners”, and I was hoping this would be the year we purged them from our midst, not create new ones.

Mainstream media when 93% of the candidates Trump endorses win..."Move along nothing to see here".

Mainstream media when a Trump endorsed candidate happens to lose..."This seals it! The era of Trump is over, the Republican base has finally abandoned him!"

Idealistic approach that ignores reality.

1. You only win when you have the majority.
2. Some areas of the country are not bright red, they are purple, or even blue. You will not get the purity you want in those districts no matter how much you want it. You get what you can get.

Happily, President Trump is not an idealogue, but a realist, and pursues an approach that works with "You go to war with the Army you have, not the one you wish to have"

You spot on. Idealistic garbage. Politicians are herd animals, the herd moves with Trump and they will mostly get in line. They will stick out if they don’t. This primary season is the Bush-era-GOP’ers assistant democrats last stand and they are loosing 128-7.

Those that get in will quickly realize they move with the herd, or they get destroyed.

I’m all for winning, but electing a RINO is not winning.

When Mitt Romney won his senate seat, did you count that as a win?

I didn’t think so.

Given the facts I just posted to you, your statement is contradictory.

You're right. Putting another Democrat in the Senate would have been a winner.< /lunacy > < /idiocy >

You probably voted Romney/Ryan. If you were old enough at the time.

Nancy Mace is just a weak loser who supported Trump when it served her purpose but then got in the Washington bubble and became scared for her political future and turned on Trump. She will flip back to Trump now that it is clear he holds all the cards.

FWIW, Mace voted against the impeachment of President Trump

We’re stuck with her now. If she votes the right way to curry Trump’s favor then good.

Question: how many would have won without the Trump endorsement? In other words, is Trump picking frontrunners or is he picking ideological conservatives?

Depending on the candidate and the scenario on the ground in the district/state the candidate is running in, probably both.

But having Trump's endorsement is political capital that Trump can use later.

President Trump is no dummy!

Electing a Democrat is not winning.
Electing a RINO is not winning (because a RINO is a Democrat).

Aren’t both statements true?
