A further decline in Russian gas flows to Europe via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, coinciding with an early heat wave gripping its south, deepened concerns the continent may struggle to build up storage ahead of the winter season as planned.
Italy and Slovakia reported receiving less than half of the usual volumes through the pipeline on Friday, which crosses the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany and accounts for around 40% of Russian pipeline flows to the European Union.
France reported it was receiving no Russian gas from Germany since June 15. Germany's power industry association BDEW said lower volumes could be replaced by other sources, such as Norway and the Netherlands.
EU's reliance on Russian gas and a risk that Moscow could cut it off in retaliation to economic sanctions imposed after its invasion of Ukraine has been a major headache for the bloc, prompting it to build up inventories and seek alternative supplies.

Doesn’t Greta get the final word on this?
I do think Putin will have a price for the European leaders when they travel to Moscow in November to beg for gas to keep their people from freezing to death, with the price being: NO MORE NATO.
He's already stated the price. It's in Rubbles or Gold. No Euros or Dollars accepted. Source: https://edition.cnn.com/2022/03/24/business/putin-gas-rubles/index.html and https://goldseek.com/article/russia-will-allow-unfriendly-countries-pay-natural-gas-gold
That was an earlier price, and still applies, of course.
I don’t think he specified how many rubles or how much gold.
If you think about it (from Russia’s perspective), both are very sound moves. Repatriate rubles held by other countries so they can’t flood the market later on and devalue your currency. And if you want to relink your currency to gold, it would help to maximize your gold reserves.

I think he will make them release the frozen Russian foreign reserves.
