'This is a dreadful mistake' - Head of UK's armed forces says Russia has 'strategically lost'

Russia has "strategically lost" the war in Ukraine and is a "more diminished power", the head of the UK's armed forces has said.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said Vladimir Putin had lost 25% of Russia's land power for only "tiny" gains.

And while Russia may achieve "tactical successes" in the coming weeks, he said any notion the war had been a success was "nonsense".

Admiral Radakin, who is the UK's chief of defence staff, said Russia was running out of troops and advanced missiles and would never be able to take over all of Ukraine.

-snip-

Admiral Radakin said: "This is a dreadful mistake by Russia. Russia will never take control of Ukraine.

"Russia has strategically lost already. NATO is stronger, Finland and Sweden are looking to join."

He said Moscow had been forced to give up its objectives of taking over most Ukrainian cities and was now engaged in a tactical battle where fighting is "tough".

Admiral Radakin said: "The Russian machine is grinding away, and it's gaining a couple of - two, three, five - kilometres every day.

"And that's tough for Ukraine, but this is going to be a long fight. And we're supporting Ukraine, Ukraine has shown how courageous it really is.

"And Russia has vulnerabilities because it's running out of people, it's running out of hi-tech missiles."

He continued: "President Putin has used about 25% of his army's power to gain a tiny amount of territory and 50,000 people either dead or injured."

Russia is now a "more diminished power" diplomatically and economically than several months ago, he said.

"Any notion that this is a success for Russia is nonsense. Russia is failing.

Add Marcus using Ad Hominem tto him using Strawman arguments per his reply to m. LOL.

My reply to him earlier on this thread:

Wow, you sure proved alot with that. LOL.

And name calling undermines the believability of your post because you wouldn’t resort to it if the so-called evidence of your post was sufficient.

Whereas what I posted has Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians declaring Ukraine is losing compared to you saying Russia is losing.

The eventual outcome is obvious.

The outcome of an ongoing war is never obvious. The moment you're complacent, some surprise will come along and turn everything upside down.

Yup, Putin should have known he could have never defeated Winston Zelensky.

Ukraine already has prevailed. That should be obvious.

How? They survived 100 times longer than expected, they inflicted horrendous losses on Russia, and they received massive Western military aid once they proved they could survive.

Even IF Russia takes the country in an even longer more dreadful war, what will they have won?

Putin will die, the Ukrainians hated Russia before and now they will despise Russia for another 200 years. Russia, even with a win, is likely to find itself holding another Afghanistan.

But hey you’ll act like you didn’t hear any of that. Because you’re not dealing with reality.

This admiral is worse than General Milley.

When is the lasttime he was in an actual battle?

Putin is supposed to give a speech tomorrow in St Petersburg that’s predicted to be another shining example of Russia’s global inferiority complex.

No real countries will be at Putin’s Forum and only Belarus, the Taliban, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba and the other usual suspects will be watching him.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Putin will be able stop shaking enough to give his speech.

As of 2021, the British Army comprises 82,040 regular full-time personnel, 3,960 Gurkhas, and 29,740 reserve personnel.[4]

Perhaps the Brits should rush to Ukraine’s assistance.

Because you say so?

Prove it.

And prove what you posted is true versus the Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians saying Ukraine is losing in what I posted.

I’d hate to have to keep posting it over and over until you put up evidence to back up what you’re saying.

lol...Does this look like the Russians are losing?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/06/10/ukraine-ammunition-donbas-russia/

Around 200 Ukrainian soldiers are now being killed every day, up from 100 late last month, an aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky told the BBC on Friday — meaning that as many as 1,000 Ukrainians are being taken out of the fight every day, including those who are injured.

###

But you such a Russophobic baboon, you want Ukrainians to continue to die and lose their entire country in futile and feckless attempt to harm Russia.

But, nit wit, Russia isn't being harmed. It's freed millions ethnic Russians that will soon be part of the Russian Federation. It's gain Ukrainian most productive industrial and agricultural land. It's collect a record amount of oil revenue. Gee, it's like God is blessing Russia!

You just keep doubling double on stupid.

“At least 99% of the time Goliath prevails against David.”

You mean like when David Finland defeated Goliath Russia?

David Isreal defeated Goliath Arab nations?

And how about David patriots defeated Goliath British Empire?

300 Spartans holding off Goliath Persian Empire so the Greek states could rally and defeat said Empire.

Britain surviving Dunkirk and emerging victorious.

Texas defeating Mexico to gain independence.

And so on through history.

Putin’s losing.

His buttboy Medinsky is now whining about Ukraine refusing to negotiate a deal.

His pregnant mistress is refusing to get an abortion.

And his cancer is terminal and now there’s a food fight going on between Patrushev, Medvedev, Kadyrov, Lukashenko and Yanukovych and their allies over who’s going to take over Putin’s racket after he croaks.

The Buryats set up the Chechens in Luhansk and the Buryats went home and the Chechens are getting liquidated in mass as a result.

And Ukraine forces are now less than 10km from Kherson and closing.

Putin is losing and the next two months are going to be amazing to watch.
