Everyone knows the KKK and Nazis don’t rally anymore. The right really aren’t racists and so no one would believe it (other than the SPLC) if they were to suddenly re-emerge.

The Proud Boys were the closest thing the right had as an organized counter to the left’s street fighters and they appear to be busted up. But the left will always need a boogeyman and I’d say Patriot Front fits their bill.

It doesn’t have to be effective. It just has to be something they can point to. They strike me as the Washington Senators to the Left’s Harlem Globetrotters.

Just my opinion.

So you think they are a government organized false front organization? I don't see how that squares with the information we have about them.

For instance, this fellow Thomas Rousseau, the founder and leader, is profiled on the SPLC Web Site. It's a pretty detailed biography. Seeing as he started the Patriot Front in 2017, he must have been recruited to the FBI at age 17 as either a junior-agent or a very young assset.

That strikes me as nonsensical.

Also, while I agree that as a generalization "The right really aren’t racists", and that that statement is particularly true for the Boomer/Patriot/Conservative types that make up the bulk of posters here (and, it should be noted that racism of any type is strictly forbidden on FR, and anyone posting racist stuff will quickly be kicked off the site), I still think there is a small but loud racist minority that identify as "right".

Most others on the right reject them, and don't even consider them a part of the Conservative movement, which for most conservatives is synonymous with "the Right".

But you had the Alt-Right, who flirted with racism, and then some of them went pretty much all-in on it. And, if you go spend some time on Gab (where there are no mods and few rules on what can't be posted, other than porn of any type), you will see a lot of racist posts.

So, they are out there in numbers big enough to have an organization like Patriot Front, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is.

It's inconvenient for other Conservatives that the exist. The Libtards will try to paint us all with that brush, which sucks.

But I don't think claiming they are all FBI agents is an effective counter to their existence, not when it's not true and can be easily demonstrated it's quite apparently not true (as the recent coverage I posted above does).

Unless you think the FBI has been running the group for 5 years and has also recruited moms, lawyers, and National Guard officers to play along with the LARP.

The FBI don't strike me as competent enough to pull something like that off. They end up looking like fools in short little cases like the supposed Gov. Widmere kidnapping plot, where everyone was acquitted because their bumbling was so ridiculous.
