I still wear the mask because I’m sick and tired of lazy thoughtless people coughing in my face in public without bothering to cover their mouths. An unintended benefit to me of wearing one has been the incidence of my catching an Upper Respiratory Illness has dropped to absolute zero since I started wearing them. I used to get one once a year. Now I get none. So I’ll just keep wearing them.

......”I’m sick and tired of lazy thoughtless people coughing in my face in public without bothering to cover their mouths”.......

Oh my gosh yes. One lady coughed and sneezed non-stop in a store and never once covered her mouth. She just laughed that this was happening.

I’m betting that they cough on you BECAUSE you’re wearing a mask, even though coughing on someone without covering your mouth is rude.

I wouldn’t do it, but I do think people who actually believe that they are protected from airborne respiratory diseases are people who have been very much lied to, and don’t want to face that fact.

If masks (or even the vaccines) worked, then how did my masked, doubly vaccinated and boosted adult son get CoVid after spending a few hours at his office a month ago. How? No one was coughing, no one was sick. He had a meeting for an hour and a half with 8 other people, all socially distanced around a big table. All masked. 4 of the 9 of them tested positive within 4 days of that meeting. His wife and son never got sick, even though they were exposed to him before he came down with symptoms. That is the likely source of his exposure.

You’re just lucky, and you don’t understand that. Your mask does so very little to help you. If you want to keep wearing it as a security blanket, fine, but please try to remember that’s exactly ALL that a mask is. Linus was better protected than you are.

Have you also been isolating yourself more since COVID began and avoiding getting too close to people when you shop?
