Well, we do know, that previous releases have not caused gas prices to go down. So why does anyone believe that it will happen now?
They don’t. IMO they are deliberately using this situation as an excuse to deplete the reserve to a dangerous level for the purpose of damaging US national security in the type of emergency for which the reserve was intended.
Yes, they are grossly incompetent, but in this instance malice is the cause.
The reserve is good for about two days consumption. BTW, how is this jerk going to fill it up?
