Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is best placed to take Trump's place as a 2024 GOP presidential nominee.
An expert on authoritarianism told Insider that's because he's learned all of Trump's lessons.
The expert added that DeSantis 'doesn't have the baggage of Trump,' and could rally voters.

I love DeSantis.
Just calling out the shills and the touts.
She’s an idiot.
I think DeSantis is great. I’m glad he’s governor of Florida, I wish we had 49 more like him.
And I agree with you about the media trying to create a split. Absolutely.
I bet DeSantis wouldn’t make as many stupid appointments then Trump did
The appointments are filtered through the Senate majority leader [The Turtle] or minority leader, if the Democrats have the Senate.
fascism is whatever Leftists say it is these days.
and these Leftists are liars.
Anti -Trump and a Constitutional America, Business Insider is becoming the vehicle for smear jobs posing as legitimate journalist.
NYU is a leftist bastion in academia. Once was considered a pretty good university.
Re the so- called expert on extremism, after crapping up DC, he/she or it is now trying to spread MARXIST pseudo-babble in Florida. We aren’t buying this crap in either place.
It’s dawning on the fascists that DeSantis is all cattle and has people ready to go who will stand behind him. Trump will never have that. Never.
He’s had to focus on family....his wife just went through chemo not long ago for breast cancer plus his attention to his very young children. He has his hands full and his head has been in the right place.
Gov. DeSantis is a good man and scares hell out of the libs,
He has done outstanding work representing us Floridians.
Perhaps when his children have grown some and his wife has a long healthy road in front of her we’ll see some more of him on the national stage.
she is swimming in it
I always like to check out the author. Or authors.

“Perhaps when his children have grown some and his wife has a long healthy road in front of her we’ll see some more of him on the national stage.”
I predict he’ll run for president in 2024. Elon Musk tweeted today that he’s leaning toward Desantis for 2024. He’s not the only one.
Expert on fascism doesn’t know definition of fascism. The “expert “ just mouths the word as an expletive at his political enemies.
“The appointments are filtered through the Senate majority leader [The Turtle] or minority leader, if the Democrats have the Senate.”
Desantis refused to be cowed by RINO leadership in the Florida legislature. He made them support his policies - including his redistributing plan - by threatening to support primary challengers
In contrast, Trump endorsed all the RINOs in the Senate - Mitch, Romney, Lindsey, Sasse, no name em, Trump endorsed them.
Another freakin’ “expert.” 🙄
You're starry-eyed over your newest mancrush, like you probably were with Lyin' Ted.
You are aware that Cruz had NO chance in 2016, right?
The Hillary machine would have chewed him up and spit him out over the "blind chicks".
If you were any good at politics, you would have realized that, and given it up before you were escorted off the premises.
I suggest that you concentrate on getting your guy elected this fall - the easiest way to take DeSantis out of the national picture is rig the 2022 election against him.
We'll see if our conservative Floridians have learned the lessons of the November coup against Trump.
The Slime-o-crats are gonna cheat as hard as they can.
Trump 2024, Don Jr 2028
I’m 70 years old and Trump is the only politician to do want he says he would do, Don, Jr would do the same.
