Caterpillar to move global headquarters from Illinois to Texas

I wouldn't be surprised to someday read a headline along the lines of: "All companies in California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Wisconsin, New York, (etc.) moving headquarters to Texas or Florida or an equally great southern state."

All Democrats and RINOs are totally clueless why this rapidly growing trend is happening. Or they stubbornly refuse to hear all the valid reasons why so many companies are picking up and leaving. More and more Republicans and conservatives are smartly moving south. Even so, all Democrat/RINO politicians continue pushing their idiotic, self-destructive, wasteful agenda. I guess the Democrats/RINOs figure, Hey we successfully stole the election and got away with it, so we can literally do anything we want, such as wildly spending the people's money like there's no tomorrow, and there will never be any impact. Um, clueless Democrats/RINOs, have you checked out Senile Sleepy Joe's Stock Market recently? .......... DOLH!

All Democrats/RINOs: "Well, fellow Americans, that's your reward for letting us steal the 2020 election -- the totally incompetent, senile Sleepy Joe and his ongoing bear market. You're Welcome!"

Random Rhetorical Question: Why does ANYONE ever vote Democrat?

If WeatherTech moves I’d guess it might be just over the border to Indiana.

Caterpillar Names Deerfield, Illinois, as New Global Headquarters

In the mid 2010’s CAT said they were going to stay in Peoria and build a new headquarters and showed the development plans for blocks of downtown

Local entrepreneurs invested heavily in the area around the proposed location and had the rug pulled out from under them

The CEO is a California woke liberal

They have a large operation in GA east of Atlanta along I-20 as well. Relatively easy access to the Port of Savannah for Ex-Im. And GA has had a quality technical education system for a long time, so they can get well-trained employees. A couple years ago, the head of the technical education system spoke at my Rotary club. I told him the state should defund the universities (at least enough to get rid of the woke crap) and fund him better. He cracked up, liked it very well. I was serious.

This is what the Founders envisioned, give states the rights to run their own show and then people voting with their feet if they don’t like what they’ve done.

(Please, no 50 paragraph replies on how a big fed has eroded states rights.. )

“Hewlett Package”

Did HP branch out into delivery services in competition with FedEx and UPS? I missed that.

I like to view things from both opposing perspectives, so let me put myself in the shoes of your typical Democrat/RINO: 79-year-old Joe Biden, the twice-failed Democrat Presidential Primary candidate (1988 & 2008) is clearly "the most popular President in U.S. history" because he "intensely campaigned" throughout 2020 (from his basement) to "earn" more than "81 Million votes" from super-highly-intelligent Democrat/RINO voters who wisely based their vote solely on their easily-manipulated emotions.

This reminds me of the time Obama misquoted the Caterpillar CEO on the “porkulus.” Obama destroyed having Caterpillar in Illinois.

CAT is smarter than Boeing...

Boeing is smart to kiss political ass because it is more and more dependent on defense spending.

Frankly, Boeing should be split into Commercial and Defense groups. But because Airbus does both, Boeing cannot do it.
