Justified or not, it is more complicated than that statement infers:

It is not complicated if you just walk into any grocery store or filling station and I am pretty sure you will notice that prices have increased a little more than 8%.

Ribeye steak at my local store was less than $7.00 when Trump was in office it is now above $15.00, Gasoline was less than $2.00 under Trump now $5.79 at the cheapest in my local town. looks like 8% to me is a little low because those two item effect every other item we buy. Maybe we wish the COLA was only up 8% but that is just a bald faced lie.
