That’s not a terrible idea, but let’s face it: Trump doesn’t share power. And I don’t blame him for that; it creates weakness.
Trump has strong poll numbers among Republicans because Trump has never been attacked from the right. Lincoln Club and Nevertrumpers
attack him from the left, with Democrat talking points, so they make no headway with GOP voters. In contrast, if Desantis runs and attacks him from the right, you’ll see Trumps numbers go down fast. If Desantis plasters the airwaves with ads about Trump’s liberal hires (Fauci, Wray, Esper, Mattis, on and on), the polls will look real different real fast.
