Donald Trump in recent months has been telling confidants that he may launch his 2024 presidential campaign early — and that he’s considering launching it in Florida to stick it to Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Trump has kicked around staging a large, flashy launch rally (with fireworks, of course) that would announce his White House bid before the 2022 midterm elections, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
People who’ve spoken to Trump say that one reason he’s eying the Sunshine State is to assert his dominance over an ascendant DeSantis, who — if they both run in 2024 — would likely be the former president’s most formidable competitor in a primary fight for the GOP nomination. One of the sources said Trump’s motivation is to show the governor “who the boss is” in the modern-day GOP.

It has to be Trump. He’s the only one strong enough to grab this country out of the hands of the commies and return it to what it should be. DeSantis will make a great president in 2028 and 2032. We need that kind of time to make sure the bad guys stay out of DC.
If I had my way Trump would ask for resignation letters from everybody in an appointed position.
So far, Desantis seems to have a similar philosophy and style as Trump. If he has better judgment picking people, that would be a big plus.

Trump has strong poll numbers among Republicans because Trump has never been attacked from the right. Lincoln Club and Nevertrumpers
attack him from the left, with Democrat talking points, so they make no headway with GOP voters. In contrast, if Desantis runs and attacks him from the right, you’ll see Trumps numbers go down fast. If Desantis plasters the airwaves with ads about Trump’s liberal hires (Fauci, Wray, Esper, Mattis, on and on), the polls will look real different real fast.
Sounds like somebody is trying to force these two into a fight. Little $hits do that.
Like many others, Trump leaves Florida during the oppressive summer months. If and when he declares his candidacy, Mar-a-lago will most likely be campaign HQ. He spends most of the year in Florida.

And then there was the article last summer about hospitals in Oklahoma being overwhelmed by patients who OD’d on Ivermectin. Remember that one? They posted a picture of people in Oklahoma supposedly lining up in the summer waiting to get Ivermectin?? (of course they were all wearing overcoats, snow jackets, winte4r gloves and wool hats- proper attire for an Oklahoma summer!!!)

And just the opposite is the reality. Trump and DeSantis will be closely aligned now and into the future as it is a tremendous help to both, they're not so stupid to do the opposite which would be bad for both. The media must think they each live in a vacuum, they do not.

I don't get that. I mean, what would be the point? If DeSantis is intending to run against Trump, the the story is accurate. If he's not, then it is highly likely that he's communicated that to Trump already, and it will become apparent to everyone else within a year or so anyway. So what exactly does the left gain by writing about a fight that won't even happen?
