Worked my whole life. And there are a great many Americans - the vast majority, actually - who have had great lives while earning a wage, whether salaried or hourly.

As I said "wage slavery" is a common Marxist/socialist phrase used to attack capitalism.

Yes. It was possible only a few decades ago to buy my first house in NYC while working as a cab driver with not much overtime. Not a mansion or penthouse by any means but my family was very happy with it and could even afford vacations twice a year.

Today, young people can’t even buy a studio in NYC or even the cheapest house in ANY safe American city while working themselves to death at a job requiring 4-6 year degrees. There are few jobs remaining that pay enough to afford housing and they are becomimg oversaturated as well.

The system no longer works for most people nomatter how hard they work so it is no surprise they see no point in working and capitalism is under attack...
